I am very fortunate to have love in my life and Brian and I took the time on Valentine's Day to present each other with a few gestures of our affection. I cooked up a feast, he turned up the romance.
Breakfast was served with these delicious and moist Heart Shaped Chocolate Chip Scones. Brian honored my recipe by devouring the whole batch and FoodBuzz honored me with a Top 9 spot.
Snacking during the day included these adorable Savory Valentine's Heart Crackers which are surprisingly light and healthy. They disappeared quickly and again, FoodBuzz honored me with a Top 9 for the recipe.
I created a pre-dinner cocktail with the flavor of the day. This Creamy, Dreamy Chocolate Martini sure does goes down smooth!
And how could I not present a chocolate dessert? In this case it was an ooey, gooey Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. So decadent!
In the non-food romance department I woke up to the fragrant smell of two dozen roses, chocolates (yes, more chocolate!) and an adorable stuffed bear, bearing a glittering gift.
How did you spend your Valentine's Day?
Hahahah! Love this. My dog always eats all of my presents. He think they are all his! What a great meal you had!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Top 9! Woo hoo!! Those cuties deserved it for sure! Sounds like a lovely valentine's day with just the right amount of awesome food.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your pup!!! And what a fabulous V-day...you both gave each other such wonderful tokens of love <3
ReplyDeleteAw you had a great Valentine's for sure. Look at all that bling. Very nice indeed. And puppy is so flipping cute. I give you two days before you give in and the bear is hers. Lol! Congrats on a great 9-er week.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. My friends are split between those that say I'll give her the bear and those that say she'll figure out a way to get it herself. It won't matter anyway because Brian will give it to her. She flashes him the sad puppy eyes and he turns into a big 6'4" mush :)
DeleteYou did have a wonderful Valentine's and a great blogging week as well! Your pup is very cute, funny how dogs ignore their own toys and prize one of your things.
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Nice photos. Congrats on Foodbuzz top 9!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Valentine's Day!!! I love all of the treats you made--and that adooorable bear! ah!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely Valentine's Day you two made for yourselves. We, too love to make Valentine's special, although we try to let each other know how much we mean to one another every day. This year it was a dinner adventure to a new restaurant which was kind of a bust - lights too bright, service too chatty, mediocre food. We had a great evening anyway, although we would have fared better in the food department with your menu!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome!!!!
ReplyDeletetrekking your yummy blog!!! sooo sweeet! cookies and cakes with heart... hope i can bake some also.. hehe
ReplyDeletecheers!
..TREK..
Flashing sad puppy eyes at me works every time too! Your bear and puppy are just too cute! Glad you had a very happy, food filled and fun Valentine's Day <3
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the top 9 and for having such a foodie delicious valentines day :D
ReplyDeleteAs for your gorgeous puppy, may I be his valentine - too cute :P
Cheers
