It's been a few weeks since we got back, at least physically. Emotionally we are still lounging in our cottage by the water, strolling through adorable towns with interesting shops, running with our pup along the rocky coastline of southern Maine, driving through green, lush and pristine countrysides and admiring stately waterfront homes. It wasn't our first time in Maine and, hopefully, it won't be our last. Relief at getting back home to sleep in our own bed? Nope, just misery that our heavenly vacation was over.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely vaca! It looks like you had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteYour photos of the coast are gorgeous...love that shot of the fishing boats and the lighthouse. I think it's time for another trip to the NE :) What a wonderful vacation!
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! What a perfect getaway!! Love your cottage and the towns around it. And your pup is absolutely adorable!! What I wouldn't give to go to a cottage on the beach right now...does summer have to be over? I've never been to Maine, hoping to get there one day!

The cottage is fantastic! Is it yours? Do you rent it out? We try to get to Maine almost every summer. We usually end up in motels . . . but a cottage is much better.
ReplyDeleteHi Joan,
DeleteNo, the cottage is not ours. We rented it. You can find out more about it in this post:

I love vacations by the sea... yes, a little closer to heaven! We are on opposite coasts, and I've never had the opportunity to visit the East. Interesting how it is similar, yet so different. I'd really love to visit one day! Thanks for sharing your photos...
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the Post Vacation Blues! I"m still feeling mine from August... :)
Loving these photos, Anita. I will sit here and live vicariously through the fun you had :-)
