Creamy Dreamy Chocolate Martini

Creamy Dreamy Chocolate Martini

Those of you that follow this blog should know that I can't let a holiday pass without creating an appropriate drink! For this past new year's eve I made an Ultimate Chocolate Martini for Brian because he doesn't like champagne. But surely Valentine's Day is the perfect holiday for a chocolate cocktail. So, I decided to kick up the chocolate flavor even further for the occasion. Adding a bit of chocolate ice cream makes for a truly decadent experience.

It's creamy and rich and sinfully good...a perfect drink to share with your love. And with this cocktail waiting for him, all I can say is that Brian better be coming home that night with more than just his good looks. Cheers!

Per Serving:
2 oz. Vanilla vodka
2 oz. Chocolate liqueur (I used Godiva)
2 oz. Chocolate ice cream (any brand you like)
1/2 oz. Creme de cacao
1/2 oz. piece of chocolate

Creamy Dreamy Chocolate Martini
Grate the chocolate into a shallow dish. Rim the edge of a cocktail glass with a bit of the chocolate liqueur and roll the edge of the glass in the grated chocolate. Place the glass in the freezer for a few minutes to chill and set the rim. Combine the vodka, chocolate liqueur, creme de cacao and ice cream in a cocktail shaker half filled with ice and shake well to melt the ice cream. Pour into the rimmed cocktail glass and garnish with the remaining grated chocolate.
