French Inspired Cheese Board with Edible Flowers
No matter what the season, when I'm entertaining there's nothing more crowd pleasing than a great cheese board. But, in summer, I especially love opening a crisp bottle of rose' and serving cheese on a Sunday afternoon with friends.
Great cheeses come from all over the world but I love President Cheese's lineup of French classics. The earthy notes of Camembert, a nutty Comte', my favorite triple creme brie and my other favorite (what, I can't have more than one favorite?) rich, sharp Roquefort all go so well with a crusty baguette and some honey.
This cheese board got a special lift from edible flowers and they're definitely not just decorative. Each type of edible flower has a particular flavor and fragrance and using them can get addictive fast. Head over to President Cheese's website where I explain how I put this board together and talk about how to choose edible flowers and what to expect from each type.
